Green Mountain Water & Sanitation District is overseen by a five member Board of Directors, the Board is the general governing body of the District, which oversees all aspects of the District and carries out the business of the District in public meetings.
A Director has a general common-law fiduciary obligation to the District. This obligation does not extend to each individual member of the District but rather to the District itself. As a fiduciary, the Directors have the duty to exercise the utmost good faith, business sense and astuteness on behalf of the District.
Elections are held every two years, on even numbered years, three members being elected one year, and two members at the next election, members serve four year terms and are limited to two terms.
2018 will be the next election year for three positions on the Board of Directors for the Green Mountain Water and Sanitation District.
